Quarantine, but Make It Fashion!
Hey Filly Flair ladies! Are you itching for the quarantine restrictions to be lifted yet? I know my friends and family are all starting to go absolutely nuts at the idea of missing the entire spring and summer seasons because of COVID-19. I don't know about you, but spring and summer are my favorite seasons and I really feel like I've missed out on at least one of the seasons so far! I still have my fingers crossed that summer won't be ruined. Cross your fingers with me, ladies, I think we're going to need all of the help we can get!
Despite being stuck at home staring into our laptops and forcing ourselves to be active in our living rooms, we can all still be fashionable during this pandemic. Okay, okay... I know what you're thinking... Why would anyone care about fashion when they're stuck at home? And to an extent I can understand that logic, but my counter-question would be, "does a a fashionista ever sleep?" The answer is no, obviously! A true fashionista doesn't allow a pandemic and stay-at-home order effect her loving of women's fashion and expressing herself creatively through clothing.
One new hobby I've picked up with a friend of mine is sewing super cute printed masks and donating them to hospitals in need. We found an excellent mask pattern and used up old printed cotton fabric we had laying around from past hobbies and just started sewing! We even made some mermaid scale masks which is my favorite of our collection! This new weekend mask-making hobby and binge re-watching of America's Next Top Model coined the term, "Quarantine, but Make It Fashion!"
So yes, you may still have to wear a mask out in public, but why not make it the most fabulous mask on the block? At Filly Flair, we just released some really cute printed masks that are perfect for our knew quarantine slogan. You can look positively fierce in your mask as long as you remember to "SMIZE!" Bonus point for the first reader to drop the definition of "SMIZE" in the comments! So whether you find yourself stuck at home only answering the door for Waitr, or making a run to the grocery store, or heading to work as an essential employee, don't forget to sport your fierce mask and smize on, ladies!
When you head out into public, are you still dressing up and wearing your favorite women's boutique clothing or are you darting from shadow to shadow hoping you won't see anyone you know? I'm a fashionista at heart, so pandemic or not, I'm always going to dress my best. (matching mask in place!) The true mark of a fashionista is a woman who takes an everyday garment and makes it FIERCE (as Tyra Banks would say) so show us your fiercest #QuarantineLooks and let us know in the comments what you plan to wear during, "Quarantine, but Make It Fashion!"
We can't wait to see what you come up with!
