One Item Style Challenge: Red Blazer Jacket
Good afternoon, Filly Flair Fashionistas! Are you ready for today's blog post? Today on the blog we're taking one piece of clothing and styling it in 3 different ways: meet our "WE CAN DO GREAT THINGS LAPEL COLLAR POCKETS LONG SLEEVE JACKET IN RED" - this red blazer jacket is a gorgeous statement piece made from 95% polyester and 5% spandex. Because of the fabric content, you know this jacket is sturdy enough to hold its shape, but still allows for some stretch so that it lays beautifully along the curves of your body.
This red blazer jacket is such a cool piece for your wardrobe. It's a really sophisticated, yet edgy, statement piece that has endless styling possibilities. Having a diverse closet allows you to really explore your personal style and make old clothing pieces look and feel new again. Are you excited to get started? Check out below the 3 Filly Flair looks I put together with this diverse red blazer:
1. Feeling Fiesty in Over the Knee Leopard Print Boots
This first look is for the wild woman in all of us. I chose a simple black lacy top layered under the fabulous red blazer and a pair of simple dark denim jeans. The real kicker here comes all the way down to the boots - which by the way were DEFINITELY made for walking! These gorgeous animal print over-the-knee boots are the perfect pairing to this look. The color scheme works well with the warm red tone of the jacket paired against the cool tones of the black top and dark denim. The perfect balance of color, print, and style... this look begs to be worn out on girl's night!
2. Sequins and Leather and Blazers... Oh My!
This second look features one of my favorite combinations: sequins and leather. Pairing sequins with a leather skirt has long been a favorite look of mine because the ultimate femininity of the sequins seems like it should almost clash with the tough appearance of leather. When paired together though, you end up with a really well-balanced feminine/rockstar vibe. Throw the red blazer on top and you have an outfit with statement, class, and pop. I am a fashionista at heart, so I would wear this look around town, to work, to dinner - there are no boundaries with what I'll wear somewhere. If you aren't the best dressed, you're the worst dressed in my opinion.
3. Perfect in Polka Dots: The Ultimate Girly Look
I'm really loving this last look because it features the daintiest little drop-waist polka dot top paired with very slightly distressed medium wash denim and comfy, chic booties. The simplicity of the top paired with the slightly edgy denim and vibrancy of the red blazer makes this a really almost effortless look. This look is perfect to wear around the office or to a conservative family dinner.
