Winter-Spring Fashion 2021

Fashion Trends Fortune Telling

Itโ€™s getting spooky out there. In honor of Halloween, just four starry nights away, we thought it would be festive and really fun to try our hand at fashion predictions for the upcoming Winter/Spring 2021 season! With November right around the corner, itโ€™s the perfect time to talk coats and cashmere sweaters. We are so excited for cold nights lit up in white lights. Without further ado, letโ€™s get things brewing, my little witches. Itโ€™s about to get spooky in here- dare we say, supernatural? Grab a quill; itโ€™s time to take some notes!

Capes

Capes arenโ€™t just for witches and sorcerers, you know! As of Fall Fashion Week, capes are all over Paris, Milian, and Tokyoโ€™s carpets. One might say they are taking over the world. Hooded ponchos and draping capes are predicted to be a powerful force in the fashion realm. Close your eyes and imagine long trains of velvet, vintage-inspired brooches, tassels, and fur trim hoods. Winter is going to be a time of vintage glam, meets story-book nostalgia and mystique. Some might say itโ€™s the Winter of your dreams!

Cottagecore

If you havenโ€™t seen the term โ€œcottagecoreโ€ floating around the internet and especially Instagram and Pinterest, you will soon enough! Cottagecore is a charming aesthetic that celebrates a return to traditional cottage-life skills and crafts such as foraging for herbs and mushrooms to baking pies and knitting sweaters. This is related to similar nostalgic aesthetic movements such as dark academia and faerie aesthetics, combining the power of education and magic. For this style, expect lots of long sleeve dresses, corsets, and tall stockings, and laced boots. Itโ€™s about to be a Winter Wonderland out there.

Dark Academia

Dark Academia is exactly what it sounds like- the dark side of preppy fashion. Imagine brown, black, and beige everything from sweaters to skirts to tailored pants and trench coats. Dark Academia is the best in academic style! Plaid, collars, oxfords, skirts, blazers, and glasses. The โ€˜Smart Girlโ€™ look is so in! Think Ivy League, baby.

BOHO

Boho style is back for the Winter to Spring transition! Boho is short, of course, for bohemian style. Boho is inspired by gypsy and 60s and 70s hippie fashion influences such as bell-bottoms, flared sleeves, tassels, and maxi skirts. What does this look like for winter? Our crystal ball is showing hats, fringe-detail, knit sweaters, and oversized cardigans! Bellbottom jeans are back, and we are so here for it. The more embroidery, the better! Embrace your inner gypsy.

Witchy Aesthetic

From black hats to pointed boots, the witchy vibes are on the horizon.

The idea of scary old witches is no more. The modern witchy aesthetic is a combination of all previously stated styles- a melting pot, or cauldron if you will! This trendy flair is all about conjuring self-confidence and empowerment. Hats are back in black and here to stay!

Gold & Royal Blue

Last but not least, we see an aura of gold and royal blue. This dynamic color combo is all about poise, passion, and power. 2021 is the year for self-actualization and casting out negative energy! Say goodbye to 2020 and say hello to the year of speaking positivity to fruition. Look for jewelry pieces with blue gemstones which represent truth, self-expression, love, and clarity.
