Classy Neutrals in Spring

Hey Filly Flair Fashionistas! Today I woke up with this sort of pep in my step. Honestly, since this whole social distancing protocol went into effect, lately I've been feeling like I'm on house arrest so to be able to wake up with high energy and an optimistic mindset was a glorious change for me! How are you coping with the everyday stresses circling COVID-19? It seems lately you can't turn on the TV or the radio or login to your social media without feeling a bit overwhelmed. For today's blog post, I'd really like to focus on fashion rather than the uncertainty of today. After all, I did wake up feeling like a million dollars, so let's make it a day to remember!

Typically, if someone was to describe my style, the first thing that would probably come to mind is that my closet looks like a giant Easter egg. It's true, in all honesty, that I love pastels and florals and soft billowy fabrics like chiffon and satin and silk. What they may not know about me, though, is that I have a huge appreciation for neutral fashion and tones as well. In fact, one of my best friends wears almost exclusively black and neutrals and she easily out dresses anyone I know. For today's blog, I really wanted to take a deep dive into styling neutrals (like beige tones and black shades) and how to wear them through the spring and summer. So without further ado, let's dive into the world of classic neutrals and elegant color schemes.

1. Styling Casual Neutrals for Women

Currently, I'm obsessing over this beige and black feather printed dolman sleeve kimono. Black and beige have made such a classy pairing since the beginning of fashion so it's no wonder that it comes together perfectly in this look as well. I really love how the Filly Flair stylist styled this kimono with a black lace tank and medium wash women's boutique jeans. The whole look from top to bottom is effortless, classy, and perfectly styled. What do you think of this look? Have any places in mind you're wanting to wear it? I can think of many like a dinner date with my boyfriend, a fun night with my best friends, or even a family cookout. There's no wrong way to wear this gorgeous outfit.

2. Casual Draped Neutral Tops

If that last outfit inspired you and you're looking for more ways to casually wear these dreamy neutral tones, check out these beautifully draped and lightweight neutral tone tops (also available in many other colors.) With the beautifully draping of this top, you'll be able to pair with your favorite pair of jeans, throw on a long layered necklace, and any other accessories you deem worthy.
